Youth Ministry

Welcome!

St. Katharine’s Parish is a community striving to bring its youth closer to Jesus Christ. Youth ministry offers the teens in 7-8 grades (Junior High) and 9-12 (Senior High) opportunities in the three S’s: Service, Spirituality, and Social development. The goal of any youth ministry, with the help of a strong parish, is to empower young people as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. Stay tuned to this page for all the new youth ministry updates.

High School and Junior High Youth Group is open to all teen members of the parish in Grades 7– 8 and Grades 9 to 12. Junior High and High School meetings are held several times each month and include spiritual, service and social opportunities to help our youth and teens build and strengthen their personal relationship with Our Lord. On the first Sunday of the month, we hold our 6:00 pm Youth Mass prepared by the teens of the Parish. All of the rest of the spiritual, social and service activities are rotated throughout the month. Please check Facebook, the Weekly Bulletin and Flocknote blasts for all the information. Adult parishioners are also invited to become mentors for the teens.

Blaze

Blaze is a Walking with Purpose ministry for girls in grades 7 and up. It was created to counteract the way our society drives girls to question their identity, worth and beauty. Through Blaze, we emphasize how a girl’s identity is rooted in Christ as God’s chosen, beloved daughter. An antidote to bullying, anxiety and body-image issues, Blaze replaces lies with truth and strengthens girls from the inside out through the use of Scripture-based programs.
